The Team

“Who Cares?” is a 3 year research, design, and arts-based collaboration funded by CCSIF (hyperlink), aimed at creating, developing and evaluating an emergent model of elder care on the Sunshine Coast. An emergent model builds from the strength of relationships, connections, and networks.

What do we mean by an emergent model of care? It is an evolving research approach that adapts and develops over time based on the community’s experiences, insights, and needs. Arts-based activities serve as a foundation for our team to identify gaps in the current care system, recognize existing strengths, and explore opportunities for future improvement.

Who Cares? takes an interdisciplinary and community based approach to all project activities. Project activities, including community workshops, community pop-ups, Lunch ‘n Learns, and research interviews and focus groups provide valuable insights to help us think meaningfully through design concepts and future creative engagements with community members.

Our work is rooted in the concerns, ideas, and dreams of the Sunshine Coast community.
